Help with GMD workhorse sizing

I'm trying to decide between the red and brown edge. DS is only 3 1/2 months, but he's a pretty big boy, about 17lbs and wide at the hips. I want to get the organic snap version. Which size should I go with?
I already e-mailed GMD asking, but I figured the more opinions the better

Probably reds. I have those for my 9.5 month old dd who is 16ish pounds. They are however short in the rise for her already as she has a long torso.

Thanks I think DS's rise is average for his weight..he's on the middle rise setting for his OS dipes.

DS is a year and probably 21-23 lbs. He's still in red WH with the tabs touching (but not overlapping). For reference, he wears BGE on the middle rise with two sets of snaps showing at the waist. I would think red is the right size for your DS, but what waist setting do you use for his OS diapers?

Most of my OS pocket and aios are aplix, but they're not touching. Probably a 2-3 inch space between the tabs fastened, so similar to 2 snap settings in a BG.

I can't remember, does she make wide WHs too? Or is it just prefolds? I use brown edge on my 23lb, 31in tall 17mo and he's been in them since he was 11mo, 20lbs and 29". My guess is you need red considering the average height of a 3.5mo, as I'm assuming larges would be crazy bug in the rise.
