Re: ISO: Homebirth Supplies (see list)

I have some I think my friend used some poise pads and there maybe some long/overnights. I don't think I will need all. Big bags have been opened but they are individually wrapped. I don't have the affinity pads. I gave those to my mom and I think she gave those away. Let me know a nd I can 1let you know further what all I have. Some might be off brand before I switched to cloth for the main part of my period.

I'm not sure when you are due but I should have mine in my arms in the next few days/weeks. I'll bookmark this so that I can come back with anything that I have leftover from my kit.

I made my own perineal compresses, per midwife's directions, using regular pads, poured a bit of witch hazel and water in them, then froze in plastic ziplocs. Had more than I needed in the end. Hm. I wonder if you can find specific directions online. That was 6 years ago and I didn't save the info.

I did that with my last birth, too! I froze them in layers in a bowl, so they were contoured :-) The instant ones are basically instant ice packs with a dry pad attached, and for the first several hours are AWESOME and the coldness lasts much longer than the witch hazel pads. That and arinica <3
