Ebay shippping/communication ?

I sold a blanket to someone in Germany. They took forever to pay, it was at least 8 days after they purchased and after 5 had opened an item not payed dispute. They payed 3 days after I opened it, but apparently never responded to it b/c it still says dispute waiting for buyer to respond. Anyhow, I mailed it out the next day. They paid for it Sept. 28 and it was mailed out on Sept 29 via USPS priority mail small flat rate box.

I received the following email this morning:

"Hi
I paid for this blanket on the 21th September.
Tild today I received nothing.
Please let me know, when you post it.

Kind regards

Family Thake"

It did have the item description and EBay item #, but nothing with the buyers user name and it was not an email through EBay. It seemed an odd address.

I did not want to just respond so I went through EBay and sent the buyer a message saying when I mailed it.

Then this afternoon I received another message, but different address and it seemed odd also. Here is the second:

"hi
please let me know the date of shipping
kind regards
Family Thake"

What should I do? Is it safe to respond? I feel I have already responded since I went through EBay and contacted the buyer and sent them a message.

I would only communicate through e-bay. That way there is not question if some sort of dispute is made later.
