Thrush question
Has anyone here had thrush and been able to get rid of it without a rx when genetian violet didn't work? I'm looking for some more options before taking him to the pedi bc we are in the process of moving.

Re: Thrush question
My baby got thrush at about two months. It was so awful! . I put a drop of antibacterial dish soap in about 6oz of water, shook it, and applied it on her gums with a q-tip. It got rid of the thrush so fast. Also if you use a pump at all make sure to sanitize it thoroughly. You can use your own breast milk to put on your nipples. Also eat plain yogurt. And maybe take some probiotics.

Re: Thrush question
Breastmilk on your nipples will make it WORSE! Yeast loves sweet, and milk is sweet.
Tons of probiotics for both of you. You can also use miconazole (lotrimin) topically on your nipples. Grapefruitseed extract also helps as well as apple cider vinegar. Google: Jack Newman Candida protocol
