What are the highest weight limit RF toddler seats?

Our DS graduated from the Orbit Baby infant seat to the toddler seat a while back. Our issue, well, he's over 30lbs, 31+ inches and turned 9 months old 2 days ago! The RF limit on the Orbit is 35lbs, so soon enough he'll be out of that too.

Suggestions on a high end RF car seat, please.

Radian seats RF to 45 pounds.

It is not a great booster, but by that point, you'll probably want to buy a dedicated booster anyway.

Clek Foonf has some extremely innovative new safety features. It is not on sale yet. RFs to 45 pounds.

We have a Maxi Cosi Pria that we love. It has a 40# rear facing weight limit. We couldn't get a good install with a Radian (even with the angle adjuster) and liked how much higher up the Pria sat than the Radian. Both are awesome seat with great safety features and the most seat depth providing the kiddo with more leg room.

Re: High weight limit RF seat??

At 30 lbs already I'd be leaning toward something with a 45 lb weight limit, like the radian or the foonf. The foonf is supposed to go to 50 lbs now I guess though. Not sure you could actually stuff a 50 lbs child in there rf'ing, but the extra high weight limit never hurts. It's not out yet, but you have some time in the orbit toddler seat.

Re: High weight limit RF seat??

I think the Peg Perego convertible also has a 45# rear facing weight limit, so you can check that out too.

And if you're looking at Radians, the R100 just RF to 40#. If you want a 45# RF weight limit, you need to look at the R120 or RXT.

Re: High weight limit RF seat??

I'm at the ABC Expo right now. The Foonf is going to rear face to 50 lbs. I think we are meeting with Clek later today to get more information and pictures. I am hoping to have a blog post up about the production Foonf later today.

If anyone else has questions for manufacturers, post them on our FB page: www.facebook.com/bellaviebabyplanners and we will try to get them answered.

Thank you all!
With DS gaining close to 3lbs a month, he needs a new seat before Christmas.

Anyone know when the Foonf will hit the market?
