I had a friend that said paragaurd was fine. and no problems for a few months at least to a few years before trying to get pregnant again. I think if you look there is a thread on the mirena. I think the main differences I saw were hormones vs none, and length of time they worked. I am debating between the 2 myself after this little one arrives.

Update.


Had it inserted a week ago. The insertion wasn't painful. Slightly uncomfortable, but no pain. I was a bit crampy for a few days after (just took Advil). I bled a bit (4 days)---but symptom free now.
