Re: Do LOs get cold without onesies?
We're building our wool stash, so I have been trying to buy more regular short and long sleeve tshirts for DD as she gets bigger. She's not 100% in wool, so DD wears onesies over her PUL and AIOs. If I had a serger, I would totally modify some onesies. I need to get lap shoulder Ts because my baby girl has a giant melon.

Re: Do LOs get cold without onesies?
I put t-shirts under a long sleeved t-shirt. And when I we go out, a sweater on top of that too. Warm and toasty

Re: Do LOs get cold without onesies?
try ross or marshalls for carter's onesies. I have found 6 pks for 10 bucks often.
ETA: I am cutting and serging mine as well...I like the custom longer length.

Re: Do LOs get cold without onesies?
I wish I had a serger, but would hemming the franken-onesies work just as well? Because I think longer is better for belly coverage and the little shirts seem a bit short.

Re: Do LOs get cold without onesies?
I didn't put my kid in wool longies over a fitted until he was walking, and almost done with onsies. At that time I bought some long waisted long sleeve shirts. Not sure where you live, I am in Los Angeles, and H & M has long sleeved shirts and they are narrow and very long, so this covers the kidneys, gotta keep the kidneys warm! Not sure of other brands but this worked great, kinda like the serged onsie idea.
