LOL!! This is so totally me! I love to bake, and when I can't eat it, it seems like I just want to bake all the more. I am pretty much grain- and sugar-free, but I have been making cookies, pancakes, waffles, quick breads, granola bars, apple crisp, and more. Thankfully, I have had company who eats it, children who love snacks, neighbors who are happy to share, and a friend with a new baby.

When I'm stressed I bake. Unfortunately nobody here eats much, so I need to find people to share with.

Re: Who loves baking?

same here, only my family can only take so many new recipes, if you know what I mean :-) So my enthusiasm has gotten less a little of the years as I adapt to what they like b/c it makes my life easier when they are all happy. And I'm busier now with more kiddos, so i don't do the little extras as much, just concentrate on a good tasting, half-healthy meal that they will eat.
But when it comes to bake sale fundraisers, I have a hayday! DH asks why I make myself crazy trying to make so much and get everything else done, but I tell him it's what I love to do, and is much cheaper than his hobbies :-)
And if I have too many sweets around...I eat them!

Love the bake group idea! A great requirement would be 1 pix post a week of any item! We could all get a good laugh at a few failures too (hey, we all have those once in a while on that quest to find the best)! Or a creative way to make hot dogs look good on a desperate night :-P

I LOVE baking! I don't even usually eat any of it, DH and the kids do and then I give the rest away. Its very therapeutic for me!

I'm more about the product than the process on this one

This thread made me get up and make brown sugar oatmeal muffins. These I'll eat all by myself

Same with me I find it really relazing & distracting too so it helps when I'm stressed, in pain, etc. I always think I make too much but then it vanishes in a blink!

DH tells me to take a break, relax, etc b/c I'm always ready to pop up & make a snack, etc when I see him fishing through the cabinets. I keep having to tell him I enjoy doing it, that's why I always offer.

I'm a baking fanatic. I love it do much I have a cake an cupcake business I have to really force myself to not eat it though!

I would be all over a weekly baking challenge thing. Who's going to start the thread? I think the first one should be Halloween themed!
