I wouldn't say I prefer traditional spelling, per se... I think I'd say I rather prefer familiar cultural spelling to whichever culture the child will live in or interact with most.

Names like Brayden/Breydon/Braeden are so hard for me because I know so many ladies with little boys with this name and always forget how they each spell the name, so then I fear even writing it. At the same time, I don't like when a spelling makes it difficult to know how to pronounce because then people are afraid to say it because they forget which way to say it.

The name we've chosen really only has one main spelling, so it should be fairly simple for people.
