Stuffing for Bean Bags?

I saw 2 bean bags at a thrift store....can home to look at stuffing. Wow, is it expensive and not eco-friendly for sure.

Anyone ever seen suggestions for stuffing that is cheap and safe??

The original sobakawa pillows used buckwheat. You would need to research how it was prepared

My kids have tons of stuffed animals. I would but a zipper on it and stuff them in the bean bag. It serves as a place to keep the stuffed animals where they are still accessible and a soft spot to relax.

like bean bag chairs or bean bag (that you toss)?

for bean bag chairs we just used the cheap stuffing from our local store...Made a HUGE chair with 3? of the stuffings for less than $20.

Re: Stuffing for Bean Bags?

when we lived in morocco they stuffed poofs to sit on with old clothes, blankets, t-shirts etc... DH and I liked the idea of stuffing them with the guest room bedding ... lumpy but practical! I could really use a beanbag chair or two actually... hmmm... I could probably stuff a couch with all my scraps from sewing

You can use cheap duvets, you know the ones that go in covers as bed covers.

I love all the suggestions, so practical But I would shell out for the beanbag stuffing, it's the most comfortable
