i have pfs and covers only. i was thinking about using dawn next because those extra rinses did nothing and now i have a wet dog smell... i have moderately hard water as well most times i also use a scoop of homemade diaper detergent for a buffer.. im glad you really have to sniff his bum to notice it and i caught it quick but now its the bane of diapering
