I would always rather buy from a sale that's a % off, and also don't tend to jump at the sales that are less than 20% off. I also like the Buy one (or 2, or 3), get one free, like Swaddlebees has occasionally, but that's because I like Swaddlebees- I usually would rather a % off everythign in the store. I do NOT like the sales where you get a freebie and you can't pick what it is or it's something small like wipes, cream, or wetbag. I like to choose what I want to buy, not have it chosen for me, so I much prefer the % off sales. And always, always volume discounts- I tend to buy stashes, not just a few dipes at a time, so even if the % off kicks in after spending $100, it usually saves me quite a bit.

personally I want to pick my freebie, or at least have it the same item as what I am buying. I have seen a few websites that offer freebies with purchases of say bumgenious but they pick what they give you and I will always walk away from that I want to know what I am getting! and to me trial size freebies are an insult unless of course there is a lot of them, of several different things! I pretty much want buy a few get TWO free deals! I am new to buying cloth diapers, and we are pregnant with our first (due in April) so maybe this is nonexhistant in the CD world. I want prices that will rival what I can get them for used. and with Christmas coming up and then my birthday and a baby shower in January I am planning to save and spend a lot on diapers on black friday as well as have people get them as gifts for me but the deals have to be good!!!!

where are the best places to look for the deals (web links please) this is basically the only place I know to shop for CD, so help me out!

So when a retailers says "Free XX if you spend over $xx" you'd like maybe a choice. What about something like this:

"Spend over $49 and get either your choice of xx, xx, xx OR a surprise"...
So, the buyers that want surprises get their surprises but the buyer that doesn't want to be surprised gets what they want. Sound good?

YES! The "Spend over 49 and get a surprise" deals scare me. I'm extremely picky about my CD supplies and I want what I want and not what someone else picks for me. I do not buy items with deals like that because I know I most likely won't use the freebie anyway so it's not an incentive. The last freebie I got it still sitting on DDs changing table 5-6 months later if that tells you anything.

I agree that 20% off is my number too (for both sales and total order). Less than that usually doesn't move me enough to go get my wallet, more than that and I start filling my cart.

Free shipping or low flat rate is awesome and factors into where I choose to buy in the end.

The freebies don't usually attract my attention, unless it is another of the item I ordered or something I will use. A large portion of the time it is something that I will never use or gift, or worse, something I or my kids are allergic to.

I love the % off too. Last year there were some 30-35% offs, only for like an hour in the middle if the night, but I would wake up for that lol

I agree with the pick you free item. Every free diaper I have received has been a Kawaii diaper and I always end up selling it right when I get it.
