You've got to be kidding me!!!!! That's the jist of what's in Pedialyte...what are they charging an arm and a leg for????!!!! I have only bought it once or twice, but if that's all that's in it, never again! Thanks for the link...and actually the baby threw up again yesterday, nearly a week later.

lets see... friday was the fall festival at my work/ds's daycare, so we had burgers there. saturday we had baked chicken and rice and roasted butternut squash, and today we had beef and broccoli with rice... didnt have to buy anything for those meals, but i did spend $20 at heb on saturday for a couple of chicken (HEB has whole chickens for $0.47/lb) some cheese, onions, carrots, croutons, yogurt, and.... something else i think... maybe not, lol

i just reapplied for food stamps, so i'm waiting to hear how much that will be, and when it will come through. i'm so desperately broke right now, its not even funny

no one is playing anymore? hmmm... what did we have this week? its been a busy week, so pretty simple stuff. monday, i think it was chicken soup. tuesday, we had chicken sandwiches and salad. wednesday my mom and son ate at the church's fall festival, i had a salad while i waited for them to get home (i had to work

so i couldnt take him

) thursday was sausage and mac and cheese, friday we made pizza from the pizza kit i bought from ds's fund raiser. didnt have to spend anything this week... well last night i bought a soda and a bottle of juice

picked up my produce this morning, and my food stamps loaded today, finally, yay, so i'm going to hit a discount bakery i'v never tried and check out their bread, we're almost out. also gotta hit the 99cent store for some other produce- potatoes and carrots and stuff. also need eggs and a few other things

Did some stocking up this week. DH's yogurt & King Arthur flour (regularly $4.59, on sale for $2.59, competitor's coupon for another $1 off! Need to go again today!) were on sale, as was Cabot cheese. I stocked up a few months ago on store brand Colby Jack for $1.88 but it's really not as good as the Cabot - so I bought that for $2.50.

Pantry starts to get exciting after next week - Tuesday is our last regular CSA share delivery, then it'll be 3 weeks til we start getting our winter storage boxes. Time to start using the food I've frozen and canned!

For dinner tonight, we're having Beef, Potato, and Cabbage casserole (really yummy!). Thinking this week I'll roast a chicken (Monday?) and then we'll have bbq pizza (and caramelized onion & kale pizza) another night, chicken and dumplings a 3rd night.

i spent about $130 today, and have a few more things i need for a couple of recipies, but most of what i bought was stock up stuff.

i spent $14xx at the discount bakery, $38xx at the 99cent store for produce and some frozen junk, lol, milk and juice ( they have the v8 fusions for 1.49 or 1.99, depending on the flavor) and $83.xx at the "junk store" which is what i call the scratch and dent salvage place (my grammy has one by her house, and thats what she always called it

) most of that was stock up stuff- motts veggie mix juices for a $1, revolution foods sammi jammies (5pk) and squeezie fruits (4pk) for $1.50, an 11lb pork loin for $1.50/lb, some staples- rice, peanut butter (organic for $3.50), canned veggies, and some treats. i cant afford much organic, so i love it when i can get good deals on it at the junk store

i think all i really need to round out the recipies for my meal plan for the month is cheese and shrimp, and produce later on in the month... and i think we're out of hamburger meat, so i need to check the meat market too, and see if its on sale. i'll probably change some stuff around to add in some of that pork i didnt plan on having

anyone know of any shrimp sales?

saturday we had cheesy hot dog cresents, sunday was chicken strips and mashed potatoes, monday was sausage and fried potatoes, yesterday was chicken penne rustica, and today we're having salisbury steak

We've been eating at my moms a lot lately, as we've been gone every night this week, but tonight I am home with the kids so I am trying to figure out what I can throw in the crockpot quickly that we can use as leftovers tomorrow. I've got pretty much any meat to choose from, I just can't find anything I am interested in

I plan on meatloaf, cubed steak and gravy, and fish and rice for the meals until Sunday
