a nice newborn baby doll???

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me with this. I did look at each and every doll posted.

Thank you so much for posting this. I never would have found out about them if you hadn't posted. As it turns out there is a huge retailer near me. Which is surprising since I'm kind of out in the boonies. She's got dozens of dolls and a full on 'nursery'.

They even have a special little thing for Christmas. First Santa sends your child a letter saying that he has dolls that need homes and he heard your child wanted a doll for Christmas and that you can go to the doll nursery to pick out a baby. The lady there is dressed as a nurse and you bring your child to her gift shop where she explains that she is one of Santa's helpers. She's got little personalities for each doll and the child picks out a doll. She then explain to the kids that she will keep the doll and Santa parks his sleigh by the back door and he picks up the dolls and keeps them warm while he takes them to your house. After Christmas you then bring your child up to have the adoption ceremony. The little mommy puts on a hospital gown, 'baby's' health is checked, mommy is shown how to put on a diaper, the baby is dressed up as either a boy or girl doll, they sit and rock the baby in a little rocker and then they get 'it's a boy!' or 'it's a girl' balloons. They also fill out an adoption certificate and get their photo taken with their new baby. Plus any time you want you can bring the baby back in for a health check.

I'm definitely going to do this. We have an 8 month old in the house right now and middle dd is going through some pretty serious middle child syndrome so I think this will be just the ticket for making her feel special.

Aww!! That sounds like an awesome way to get a doll!! I would have LOVED that when I was little!
