Want to make "Brave" dinner
Whenever we watch a movie or go to a play I make a special meal for the kids that goes with the theme. I bought Brave and we are doing a movie/ dinner night. I've never seen the movie and need ideas for food to make for dinner. Thanks!

Scottish food is pretty basic, they're meat and root veggies eaters largely. Shortbread cookies would be festive.

Re: Want to make "Brave" dinner
I would probably do Scotch Broth and Oatcakes.

Re: Want to make "Brave" dinner
Bear claws for dessert!
You could go the salmon route for dinner (since the bear eats salmon)

Re: Want to make "Brave" dinner
Actually haggis is really good. I had it when I was there. It's really mostly spiced oatmeal cooked in the stomach. I think you can buy it canned. You could make some short-bread cookies. Maybe make a root vegetable and beef stew for dinner?

Pot pies are somewhat based on the Scotch Pie, so that's an easy connection.
