I'm so sorry. At least they are going to try to fix it. And yes, keep telling yourself it will grow back. Definitely take a picture! In a few years you will look back and laugh. Plus, those are the best photos to show girlfriends.

At the initial cut, though - you should have said something when it was going bad to begin with (I have a lot of trouble with this, I know how bad it can be to confront someone), you should not have paid for the haircut, and you certainly should not have tipped her.

I wanted to laugh when you said the way she did the back of your sons hair. Not because it is funny or because you don't have a right to be upset but because you exactly described how the local school cut my daughters hair when she was about 5. I took her home and just cut it again myself. Poor kid. She had a boyish face. With her hair as short as I was forced to cut it to make it reasonably even she looked like a boy. The center of the back had a large chunk cut out of it. Even with cutting the rest of her hair to the top of her neck there was still a section shorter. Short of shaving her poor little head it wasn't going to be completely even.

I have taken her to 2 different beauty schools and 2 different salons. Each and every time I have had to correct the cut when I got her home. I gave up on paying someone to cut her hair just so I can redo it when I get home.

Apparently the art of hair cutting is a lost art. I have often wondered how the schools passed these "beauticians".

Oh my gosh they were HORRIFIED when they saw it!!! They did an amazing job fixing it and now it looks really cute though shorter than I'd like. And, profusely apologized and were so angry at the person who cut it. And gave my son a free t shirt
