For those that get them, how far along? I thought 6-7 weeks was the norm because it gets harder to tell as time goes on. Mine is scheduled for 8w5d. I'm anxious to see my bean, of course, but also wondering if I should request an earlier one for dating reasons?

I couldn't get in for mine until 11 weeks. Drove me crazy to wait that long but it was worth it to see our little bean wiggling his/her arms and legs!

I have always gotten mine on the first appt so 11w3d with pregnancy #1, 8w3d with pregnancy #2 and 10w3d with this current pregnancy. Sounds like you are right on track.

Mine was at 9 weeks. Normally we don't have them at all but I have a history of m/c so I requested one.

With this pregnancy, it was at 8 wks 1 day

DS was 8w2d and this time it was 7w5d. The picture from DS is much more clear and looks like a little gummy bear while our newest picture is really hard to see.

Neither doctor I used for my two did dating ultrasounds at all. Maybe it was because I was/am very regular, with 28 day cycles like clockwork so I knew how far I was.
