you can try sprout change organic trainers or they come in stay dry too. They absorb like a diaper but work like a pull-up (with side snaps) and they fit up to like 45 pounds so you can use them for nightime once he is day trained. I use them on my 38 pound three year old, he isn't quite trained yet either.

I'm not sure how large you need? I really like the Big Kid sized Hiney Liney's. There is 1 piece that snaps in but you could easily snap it in before school & then they could easily put it on like you would with an AIO. My dh can use them so they have to be pretty easy.

Bumping this in case anyone else has suggestions. The sized Simplex are the ones we are already using and the larges are hard to snap on and are leaving red marks.

I've been really happy with the Hiney Liney Big Kid's. They are very absorbent, hold up to overnight with nothing extra added, wash easily & dry fast.

I have also been using the Flip trainers as a diaper & just using 2 inserts instead of 1. This also holds up to nights & naps with no leaks and fits to about 50 lbs. Another option is to use the flip trainer covers with the disposable Flip inserts. That was our system during hurricane Sandy & we had almost 2 weeks of no power & had to evacuate.

I have used the flip trainers with two inserts as well. I liked them.
I'm really interested in this sprout change though. My 3 yo still wets at night sometimes and is quite chunky.
Where can I find this trainer?
