Okay here is how bad I can stand it if I'm home, the anxiety begins to kick in. It is usually worse if dh is the one here with DS...that pic to come Sunday/ Monday.

Here are our main living areas downstairs. Upstairs is a little more messy from kids playing and the basement is destroyed! (Its where 99 percent of the toys live)

I'm the odd woman out. My house is houzz worthy, catalog-ish and I have 3 little people, 2 dogs and a cat here all the time (DS1 is no longer homeschooled now in 2nd grade so he's a part time resident, along with DH who WOTH 7-5 M-F). Everything has a place, most of which are behind doors, we don't do much plastic, are semi-minimalist, the children are well trained to clean up toys between activities, and I have made it very easy to clean up so we do its continuously throughout the day. I have no judgment about what other people's homes look like, so please know, I don't share this like clean houses mean better wives and mothers or whatever. I only mean to say that you can have little children and live in the pottery barn catalog .

Super mods dont get to play since you have magical DS elves helping you while you sort out our daily messes online. But on a serious note, how do you manage to keep it so clean with at least 3 kids under 5?

I am teaching DS to clean up after each activity and I too pick up through out the day.
We don't really do plastic, except DSs high chair, everything else storage wise is wicker baskets or fabric baskets. Also everything has a place here too, easy to find and to put away.

I'll bite. This is after a day with the nanny and hubby and I working downtown. Babe is in bed. I could pick up the toys, but instead I'm swapping. I'm also putting off dealing with the amazon deliveries on the dining room table. New kitchen knives for my birthday!
