Re: 11 month old still doesn't have teeth!

My 18 month old just cut her first tooth about 2 weeks ago (so at 17.5 months). My kids are SUPER late teethers, but when they do finally get them they do so all at once.

They say the later the kids get teeth the healthier they will be.

Re: 11 month old still doesn't have teeth!

All three of my kids were late teethers. It's nothing to worry about, and is actually kind of a good thing because they will be a lot less likely to decay. Chances are if they are late to come in they will also be late to fall out and get their permanant teeth...my 6.5 year old still hasn't lost any teeth. My kids were pretty good at mashing things with their gums.

Re: 11 month old still doesn't have teeth!

DH and DD were both over 15 months for first teeth. The dentist checked her out and that made us feel better.

Thanks guys! Glad to hear other kids have taken this long (longer even) to get teeth.

I'm sure he has teeth in there somewhere! They'll come out eventually.

But teeth aren't needed for eating. My kids were eating all solid finger foods, including meat, before they had teeth.
