I love that you say you "decided that it IS baby"! for movement! I've been getting BH contractions (here and there, not too many and not every day) since 15 weeks - it definitely is possible.

Thank you. I think tomorrow will be okay, just me and Levi. I will feel better to get a better/quicker hb, but I'm not even sure why. It's not that it wasn't there and then suddenly was, today... Hiccup is just good (and quick) at hiding!
Labwork is , but nothing I'm not used to. I don't think that will trigger anxiety

Just the u/s I'm still very nervous about. It's not so much a fitting into DH's schedule - he's a teacher, and right now is transitioning back to full time after being off on disability since Elli's stillbirth. He works every afternoon now, will until February (and then we'll see what happens in the spring).
So we know his schedule - but it'll be a half hour+ drive to the hospital, then the actual u/s (which even if everything is a-ok, still takes 30-45 minutes), then a half hour home... likely he'll just take the whole day. Not too big a deal - he has personal and sick days he can use when needed.

I'm sure my own DH has troubles with this (mainly because I've heard it happen myself when awake through the night - scary, and I shake him to get him to breathe) but the Drs don't seem interested in doing anything to figure it out and DH doesn't exactly go to the Dr often

Sorry you're so nervous mama! I know from experience how much a stillbirth can mess with you're head for future babies. Even after a normal pregnancy and birth I'm still nervous this time around. I hope everything goes well at your ultrasound. Keeping you in my thoughts for a healthy baby!!

I am terrible about haircutting too. I am a twice a yr cutter CB! Sometimes more like a 9 monther. The problem is I prefer it long, but it starts taking too long to dry and gets on my nerves, so I get iy cut too short (for my taste) as a change of pace, then let it grow out too much to over compensate. It's a vicious cycle.

Hope to find out babys gender at the anatomy scan on the 30th!! It will be at the 20 wk mark. Luckily, that's also payday!!

I am having the hardest time deciding decoration wise. DS's room was horrific when we bought the house, ugly brown striped wallpaper, etc. We stripped it, painted it a soft light green and did baby animals (elephants, lion, giraffe, etc) as the theme. He is moving to our bigger 3rd bedroom which is a nice light beige color. If baby is a girl, we would be redoing babys room in a girly theme and I'm unsure if we should do his new room too??? Or just leave the soft beige color and accent it, which is kind of what I'm leaning toward. I want it to be cozy and kiddie but not too kiddie YK? :/

We left DS's walls tan because we were only staying for a few years (less than two actually). Then we bought wall stickers to add a decorative touch. They peel off smoothly and leave no damage (we moved them around after we pulled the crib out). So maybe you could find some of those that he would like. Then take them down and throw out or pass down as he grows. Target has really cute ones. We bought ours from babies r us (monkeys).

Our miscarriages made things worrisome enough, but then losing Elli has just added a whole other (and bigger) fear/worry on top of that. This is definitely going to be our last pregnancy, we just can't go through this again. I don't know for sure it will be the last baby, but last pregnancy.

I won't have my u/s for another couple weeks, at least. I'm they'll get me by 24 weeks, but I expect they'll figure out a way to get me in for 20-21 weeks. I'm only anxious right now when I really think about it, and remember what we've seen on that screen before. So for now I just try not to focus on it!

My hair is very thick and heavy - when it gets to a certain length it gets too heavy for my head/neck and I end up having constant migraines from it Otherwise, I love having long hair!

We're terrible for decorating. The kids all just have whatever room they had when we moved in here (6 years ago!).
Our babies sleep in our room for a good while (Levi is still in there now, although that's because we have no more bdrs at the moment), so we don't ever decorate for baby - poor things, lol.

Ooo, good suggestion! We had a border in DD's room in our apartment that was sticker, like that. It was perfect - got to decorate and change the room without ever painting or doing anything permanent (which we wouldn't have been allowed).

AFM: Another Dr appt this morning, then bloodwork, and I'm planning to get the kids from their swim lessons (our school buses them to town every Friday afternoon for swimming as part of our phys ed component). DH is going to come into town after work and we'll go to his parents house for supper and a visit It'll be a long, busy day, but that's okay!

He did catch the hb for a couple seconds down low on my right, but then it just disappeared. I could feel Hiccup move up and over left - we ended up with my hands above baby holding him still, then the doppler against him on the other side - got a good bit of hb... then he squirmed and was gone again. Apparently he does not like the doppler. I am going back tomorrow for a bit more of a "first prenatal" - we'll get all the paperwork on the go, get urine and weight and fundal height, :crossfinger: hear that hb again - maybe not easier... but quicker?!, and get lab reqs for my bloodwork. I won't be doing a physical or any vag exams with this pregnancy - if nothing else, I just did them a year ago (pretty much exactly a year, too). DH came with me this morning - it wasn't actually as bad as I thought... but this was largely due to them having moved offices! Just from one side of a building (kinda duplex) to the other - climbing the stairs and going in the first door was hard... but then I went the "other way". Which, silly as it may sound, may it suddenly easier, different... like there could be a different outcome this time. He won't be able to come with me tomorrow. But I think I'll be okay. Whether he knows it or not, he is coming to the u/s with me. There's no way I'll get there on my own, never mind getting through it on my own! Now that the req is sent off, I just wait for the hospital to call me to make an appt for it. Apparently, he said there can be up to a 2 month waiting list for u/s But I know I've gotten in right away (with DS2, at 6 weeks, I was in for u/s within 2-3 days of the req), and where we're req'ing it at a smaller town hospital, hopefully they'll not be as booked/busy? Anyways, whatever. It will work out, however it is meant to.

I think I finally figured out the multi quote! Glad you were able to go, I cant imagine how hard it was, glad DH could go with you and hope they can get you in for an u/s soon! I'll be thinking of you today!

Hooray for shopping and getting hair done!!! I'm getting mine done Saturday I think. My BFF is a hair dresser so just going to her house. I've had my hair blonde with highlights for a long time, but since moving to the farm the minerals make it copper-y so I'm going to go darker, sort of an Adele type color with lowlights. And she'll probably trim it, I'm growing it out.

I'm in a co-op on FB right now that is doing vinyl wall decals, really cool huge ones and they're only $2.47/each! I'm ordering a ton since I'm no good at decorating and won't feel guilty for changing them frequently


AFM- I'm still feeling a bit better, bad day yesterday but over all more good then bad days. Tonight we are going into the city to play turkey bingo at my parents church, then we're staying the night and Saturday my parents are taking DS to a huge water park for the day/night. DF and I are going to do some shopping(still need his wedding band), have lunch at a hibachi grill with my friends, and get my hair done. After today I only work Monday and then I'm off until after Thanksgiving!
Only thing I'm struggling with right now is DS and school. He has a degenerative hearing condition(he's losing hearing) and the school cannot give him services for deaf/hoh because its not bad enough yet. He uses hearing aid, and could wake up deaf tomorrow, but they can only give him services based on today. It's very frustrating. We have a meeting Wednesday and I'm trying to get copies of pieces of his medical file and they say it's a 7-14 day wait so it's very frustrating.

Hmm... have you gone in to the office or just called them? I would go right in, let them know you have this meeting coming up and need his medical records with you, so you can get the best resources set up for his education. Just tell them you don't mind sitting and waiting while they copy the pertinent papers and have a seat in the waiting room - likely they'll put a "rush" on it just to get rid of you! (squeaky wheel and grease and all that)

Yea, I might need to do that. It's 1.5 hours away so I only have 1 day before the meeting I could go. I put a call into the Dr to see if I could plead with him to fax them to me. Waiting for his nurse to call me back
