what would you pay for this yarn?

I have some yarn I bought and never used, but I don't remember what I paid, and the HC store isn't around anymore, so I'm not sure what to price it as....I swear this isn't spam! I already have someone interested in it, but neither of us know what to offer/ask....can you help us out?

Here is a copy of my post:

12oz/600 yards "Iced Cardinal" yarn:
Bought from a HC store that isn't in business anymore. 70% merino, 30% mohair divided into 3 skeins (4oz/200 yards each). I haven't used any of it, but my son did undo one of the skeins. I don't remember what I paid for them or what to price them, so make me an offer.

Re: what would you pay for this yarn?

If you bought it off HC you should be able to go into your purchases history and see the sale even if the store is no longer there or search in PP for around the time you think you bought it. HTH

Usually HC yarns go for $4-5 an oz per skeins so anywhere from $16-20
Who was the dyer/store?

Re: what would you pay for this yarn?

Thanks for the help! Her yarn says "One Big Happy", but in HC, her yarn was at serenity tree. I saw her stuff in HC, but messaged back and forth on ds, so the transaction was made here (it was custom) and I've already deleted all of our messages. I know, I'm a dummy.

I would pay maybe $16-18 per skein since it's not a particularly well known dyer and I'm not familiar with the base. You could also easily twist your skein that came unraveled a little back into a pretty hank. Just open it up, hold one end, twist the other end until it sort of folds in half and then tuck the ends into each other... does that make sense? Probably not. I could find a video if you need/care to do that.
