Ugh, boy names!

I love Gideon! I don't know if my hubby would like it! It is one of my favorite names if I am having a boy.

I liked Gideon. My boys are Callum and Lachlan, strong Gaelic names like Murphy

This is so weird. DH and I both like Finn (DH is a surfer and it reminds him of the ocean), but it really doesn't go with DS1 and DS2 names (Jackson and Rhyder). Other top contenders are also Gideon and Jasper, but my fear with Jasper is the same Twilight thing! Weird, we must be on the same wavelength. Other names I like...Cedar, Indigo, Kanyon, Zeppelin, Sequoia, and I really like animal names for at least the middle name like Hawk, Fox, Bear, Wolf, ect.

this was one reason we wrote off Jasper with DD two years ago.. but I don't think it has become popular. As it is, DH no longer likes it.

the funny thing is that I think Rhyder, Jackson and Finn actually go really really well together. Maybe you see those names as different because of your personal associations with them, but from an outsider just looking at names - Finn fits in there just great! Finn sounds surfy, but so does Rhyder.

When I hear Leif, I think of Leif Erikson, the Viking. And I see this:

The Viking unit in 3rd grade apparently had a great impact on me... What can I say, I was homeschooled.
