TTC 30+ november 22- december 6

This group is designed for those of us over 30 yrs of age. We have a different TTC journey than our younger counterparts & many of us encounter challenges along the way to our coveted BFP. We invite all to join us as we offer advice, support & encouragement to each other through these challenges, as well as celebrating those joyful BFPs.


While this thread is not necessarily labeled as a "struggling TTC" thread, we do ask that if you choose to join us that you remain mindful of the challenges that many of our members are experiencing when posting about BFPs. We are excited to celebrate everyone's BFP, though it can often be a sensitive issue for those for whom it has not been so easy.

We hearing from our graduates & hope you are having a HH9M!!! But we ask that you please take the time to catch up on posts, taking note of current losses before posting your pregnancy updates. If any of our sweet mommas are experiencing a loss in the current thread, please consider posting your updates at a different time.

I'll try to update your status daily, but let me know if I missed you! If I don't hear from you for a few weeks I'll take you off the list. Just post with an update to be re-added.

I am 33, hubby is 41. We are in the 2WW now. But we have just been letting nature take its course. We had an early loss in october and my cycles have been strange. We are wanting number 8 to round us out and hopefully complete our family!

Hi Katie. I'm so sorry for your loss and hope you don't have to wait long for number 8.

As for me, it's been a really hectic month. DH just finished school on Oct. 15, had a job interview on the 16th and got the job, so we moved to a new city on Nov. 1st. Everything still feels really unsettled and chaotic, though. I wanted to find a job here, find a good pre-school/daycare for DS and put down some roots before TTC and DH wanted to make sure that the job was a good fit. We thought we had plenty of time since we're only 30. However, since my FSH levels are so high, the doctor recommended not waiting at all so as of January, we're TTC. EEK! It freaks me out a little just typing that. I dearly want at least one more child, but I'm a planner and wanted to have all my ducks in a row first. I'm also scared that it will take a while, or not happen at all. Everyone I know has had babies well into their late 30s and early 40s...I didn't think I'd be facing ovarian failure at 30.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We are on our last cycle of TTA for timing and medical reasons. I am, therefore, unreasonably excited about my pos OPK today! Knew you would all understand my excitement that we are about to be officially TTCing. DH is excited we'll be able to get rid of the condoms. Ha! I am one crazy POAS lady when I am excited about a stick that doesn't really mean anything, effectively!

Ok, I know this is a really dumb question but can someone clue me in on when CD1 is? Is it the first day of AF or when you O?
