Re: Keeping Kids active in not so nice weather
There is Just Dance Kids, too, which is geared toward younger kids (both the moves and the songs).
We hung a swing made from a baby wrap in our sunroom. Was the best thing we ever did in terms of entertaining kids indoors during foul weather. That thing get used so much. I have heard mini trampolines can be as handy for expending energy, but we haven't gone there yet. We also like the kids' yoga DVD's.

Re: Keeping Kids active in not so nice weather
We go swimming at the Y a lot. Our Y also has this awesome climbing play thing and large trampolines that the kids will use. We have a mini tramp at home. We make "wipe-out" courses a lot. Doing the course isn't usually tons of work but setting it up is. Sometimes they will do a section of my work out video. We used to do bikes in the garage but they are getting too big now for that.
I loved it when ds and soon to be dsd were in dance together. They quit this year. It was great exercise and then ds and I would practice dance everynight (and dsd too when she was over). Sometimes I will ask them to take things downstairs a few times We do go outside nearly every day, even if its just 10 min. Something about being outside just makes them all settle in better.
