Re: Can you RF on the 3rd row of a mini van?
Quote:
Hmm...ok, so now I'm feeling crazy. I know I've read it before, and I've read it more than once because I've "double checked" it at least once. But I read the same thing you read, and I went through the entire section on child restraints. So now I'm wondering if it was for a different vehicle that I read that. I'm sorry for misrepresenting my Pilot, and now I think it's that much cooler, lol. Whatever I read before has made me think I couldn't put a RF seat there, but this says that a RF seat can be installed in any position in the back seat.

Re: Can you RF on the 3rd row of a mini van?
Have you ever owned, or read the manual for, a vehicle that had rear-facing seats in the 3rd row? That might explain it. You cannot install child seats on rear-facing vehicle seats (like the fold-down seats in a station wagon).

Re: Can you RF on the 3rd row of a mini van?
I don't think so, and I even went back and read the online manual for my previous vehicle to see if that was it, but I didn't find it. Maybe when I read it, it wasn't really there...like the words on the page just blended together and I skimmed over it, thinking it said something else. No idea....but I really feel like I've lost it now, lol. Good to know it's almost always an option, then! Not much need for my initial question, then, as long as mini vans are all the same...ish.

Re: Can you RF on the 3rd row of a mini van?
I have a 2011 Toyota Sienna and I CAN rear face in the very middle of the 3rd row but not on either side. I have our rear facer in one of the captain chairs and leave the other free so it can be moved easily to gain access to the third row where my two forward facers sit.
