First trimester exhaustion and little ones

Any tips on getting my energy up? I am 6 weeks 4 days and I honestly feel flattened. I am so exhausted and even have body aches. I have a 15 month-old, though and really need to get some energy. Are there better supplements or foods I can take? Right now I take prenatal gummies. Anyone have any coping strategies to combat this exhaustion?

A B vitamin really helped me through my early pregnancies. I think it is specifically B-12, but I took the one with all of the B vitamins.

I just kept myself really busy and tried not to spend too much time sitting on something comfortable. And, in the first trimester, I did nap while she napped a bit (I am not a napper, so it was saying something for me to even attempt a nap).

I ate a lot of apples, as well, since they wake you up. DD is now an apple fiend.

As far as I know, the gummy vitamins do not contain iron. If you are low on iron (not saying you are, but your doc would probably know from the initial blood draws), then that can contribute to fatigue and you'd want a prenatal with iron, or an additional supplement. Other than that, I used the TV a lot. I was also nauseous 24\7, so I just did the bare minimum. Hubby picked up a lot of slack until I was 17w.

Workout when you can. For real. I was down for the count from 4pm- next day. But during my 'window' of good I ran. It helped me stay happy instead of gloomy and my MS and crappy feeling lasted 15 weeks.

Dealing with this right now. I am getting all the help from grandma and DH they can possibly give, and DD is watching lots more videos than ever before. It has been a rough several weeks. I hope it gets better soon. My first pregnancy was like this too and all the vitamins and fresh air in the world won't make a difference for me in the first tri. This too shall pass.

Oh, this phase is so hard! I did try extra time outside, napping whenever my son napped and really just spent a lot of time laying on the couch. Soon you'll be past this part, hang in there!
