Notifying my supervisor

I told my supervisor at 16 weeks I put it off as long as possible without jeapordizing coverage when I'm gone on leave or being the giant elephant no one wants to talk about.

I had to tell right away because I work around drugs and there are many drugs that are HUGE no nos to touch or possibly come into contact with, so he needed to know why all of a sudden I was passing certain drugs to him and not taking care of it myself.

Back when I was working, I told my supervisor at 12 weeks mostly because I think a lot of people on my team suspected it and I didn't want my boss to be the last one to find out. It was sort of out of courtesy.

I told my supervisor at 7 weeks and my co-workers at 10 weeks. I told earlier than I would have liked to because a woman I work with (who is unbelievably nosey) asked me if I was pregnant at 3 weeks (this is after I lost 22 lbs since my oldest was born) and was telling people she thought I was pregnant. Plus I do some heavy lifting and scheduling is an issue that needed to be addressed sooner rather than later. And as it turned out, I was visible pregnant by 12 weeks so I really couldn't have waited much longer even if I had wanted to.

That's terrible! One of my co-workers figured it out that early, but she would never say anything. One day when we were alone she said, "You've been really tired and cranky, you're pregnant aren't you?"
