Other forms of birth control

Besides NFP and BC pills. I was on the pills when we got married and they messed with me soooo bad. We've been doing condoms since then and its getting old and expensive! lol. We want to have at least one more baby in a year or two so we dont want anything permanent yet. I've done NFP to conceive both times but my cycles are so irregular and hard to track that I dont trust it as a form of birth control.
I have my yearly exam in March coming up with my OB/GYN so I would like to talk about getting something perhaps then. I just dont know what.
I'm really not into hormone forms of birth control.
