Re: Clunky VHS Tapes

DH and I switched everything over to DVD YEARS ago. Were I to do it now I'd ditch everything and when I find myself wanting to watch something put it on a wish list. If I wanted to watch it a second time I'd see about buying the DVD.

What we did at the time was replaced them all through either columbia house deals or half.com

How much did the new dvds cost? I'm not too concerned about most of mine, but my daughter's Disney ones would get pricey if bought new, and I think only some can be bought at a time. Also, I have 5 VHS that I got separately but they go together (a series of movies) and they cost $65 (on sale!) on dvd.

I wish I would have stuck with VHS, the DVDs scratch and skip so quickly I refuse to buy DVDs - strictly Netflix here.

Re: Clunky VHS Tapes

Well, for disney DH and I both signed up for the disney movie club:
https://disneymovieclub.go.com
but I don't think the deals are as good now as they were...

I would check here: http://search.half.ebay.com/disney_W...em1446Q2el2686

I saw bambi for $4.50 and beauty and the beast for $6.xx... a lot under $10ea

You can also check places like half price books, especially for the sets.

We actually just sold a few hundred DVDs to half price a little over a year ago Moved remaining DVDs to a couple binders, instead of 6 ikea media shelves full we now have two binders!

Re: Clunky VHS Tapes

I like the idea of converting them as we have a bunch also. They are a dollar at our local goodwill and I get sucked in every time! I think I have decided to get rid of a ton though and just rent them from our local library!
