7 mo old, only will go on the changing table

My 7 month old goes almost 100% of the time when I lay him on the changing table. Even if it's just a few drops, he's very reliable. How do a transition him to going in a potty or the sink or whatever?

My newbie used to do the same thing- I just became more content at taking him to the potty and he got it. Try checking out www.ecsimplified.com to see if she has any answers there. Hope this might help!

Re: 7 mo old, only will go on the changing table

Hi MyMinerva!

What about bringing the potty to the changing table or letting him pee into a plastic bottle while still on the changing table? My co-mentor for our diaperfreebaby group loves using Dixie cups to get her son to pee. They work so well for them.

I know some parents who change their babies in the bathroom so they don't have to travel a few feet w/ the bare bummed babe. : )

Best wishes!
