I did this with my older son using Cheerio "dust" --never though of using flax meal!! What a great idea!

Peel and cut into thick finger sized pieces. If your baby can't pick them up from in front of them they aren't ready to eat it.

Thanks ladies! This is so helpful. My DD is 5 months and EBF. She is giving lots of eating cues, but I'm trying to hold her off till next month and plan to start with avocado :-)

We use a baby bullet blender and blend it with water. I have also heard of moms mixing it with juice or banana. I hope your little one enjoys his new food !

I scoop the avocado out of the skin and then puree in a food processor. My daughter doesn't like it unless it is really smooth. When I freeze it in ice cube trays, I add a little lemon juice.
