Moby?

Make me love the Moby or confirm why I dislike it...it seems so cumbersome, and baby always slides down into the folds when she falls asleep, so it pulls on my back!

Re: Moby?

I only liked mine once I actually got it on... that was the part I absolutely hated about the Moby. I'm a loyal ergo user now.

Re: Moby?

When my son was a newborn I liked it a lot. I would tie it on in the morning and not take it off for most of the day. I'd just pop him in and out of it but always leave it on. But after about 4 or 5 weeks I haven't used it at all. I love ring slings for this stage (he's 4 months).

Moby's are great for beginner wearers and newborns. Eventually, you will want something more--just because the stretchy nature of the knit will stretch, pull, and not provide as much support as needed. If you know that you want to wear, invest in a woven wrap if you like wrapping, or an Ergo/MeiTei/Beco/other soft structured carrier.

Re: Moby?

I made my own Moby and found it sags even now at 4 weeks old. But I will try the carry in the above video... it looks more secure.

Re: Moby?

I needed to see a demo first... and it turned out I was not wrapping tightly enough. Just an idea. make it quite tight (as though you were putting in a small doll) and I found mine stretched out just right.

I have multiple carriers but still like the moby.

Re: Moby?

So I practiced the FWCC today in my homemade Moby style wrap. That's my one month old boy Jacob:

I much prefer PWCC since it's poppable. FWCC not so much.
