When dd is home, she lays on me and watches her channel (disney jr) while I rest or we cuddle in the bed with tv on. She will wake me up if she needs me and doesn't go too far from me.

Thanks for the advice. I too am a light sleeper. I was able to get in a nap, thankfully ds was eight into his bob the builder movie.
I felt like a million bucks when I woke up. I forget how tired I always get from 12 weeks to 18 weeks...

Re: What to do when you are soooo tired
When my first was a real little guy, I'd put a blanket down and some toys inside the playpen (we had one of those octagon ones) and lay on the floor with him in front of me with sesame street on. I'd catnap while he played. It wasn't restorative sleep but with a baby under a year and pregnant again I couldn't keep my eyes open.

Re: What to do when you are soooo tired
Sometimes it is hard for me to get my guys down for a nap but I can always get them to nap with me. I say let's snuggle bunnies and they are game. I put dd in her crib for a nap and the boys take a nap with me.

I am a light sleeper too, but apparently not during pregnancy. In my first trimester, I fell asleep doing laundry. Like literally was folding one second and passed out on top of clothes the next second. I woke up to my boys being outside (in our backyard) having a water fight with the neighbor kids. Needless to say, we now have the check with mommy before you go outside and invite over friends rule. Hehehe
I, too, use the TV or Netflix. What did moms before TV do??????

I eat an apple and find a way to keep moving. Get DD on her bike for awhile or something.
Apples wake you up naturally. If I sit down too long, it's trouble.

Re: What to do when you are soooo tired
Have you had your iron checked? What is your typical diet like?
I ask b/c I am normally anemic during pg. If I forget my iron supplements, for just 2 days, I am dead on my feet from the moment I wake up. It's brutal just motoring through the day. If I keep an eye on my diet, and eat mostly whole, healthy foods, along with keeping up with my iron (and other vitamins) it's pretty manageable. There are times when I am just done. My kids nap daily from 1-2pm until 4pm. Naps aren't optional. So if I am really dragging for a day, I will lay down and rest while they are napping, rather than cleaning (which is what I usually do). Dehydration can also make you feel unusually tired. Exhaustion is a normal symptom of pregnancy. But if you're exhausted more often than not, it may be worth looking into your diet, your habits, and your vitamin levels.
