It matters not because I want to be the coolest kid on the block with the most unique name. It matters because A) I want to know I chose the name and not a huge media influence. B) I have a traditional and uncommon name. I love that I'm the only Mae most people know (besides maybe their grandmother's bff). For me, I enjoyed being the "only" one. I would like for my kids to at least get to avoid being 1 of 5 in the 2nd grade.

We named our boys with traditional names, but our daughter has an uncommon name. I don't expect to see it on any lists any time soon.

When we were naming her, DH was pushing for "Persephone" and I was (still am!) in love with "Lila", and we both LOVED "Zina".

My boys aren't on that list, and any name I pick for future kids aren't on that list either.

Oh no, if kidlet is a baby girl the name is on the list. May need to change the name after reading the reasoning too. Uhoh, my top boy name is on the list too. Better start thinking new names.
