I would also try a barrier cream at every change, my DD is sensitive to the wetness, but still needs a little extra protection.

Before spending money you may want to spend a day in prefolds and a day in stay dry and see which flares it up -- course you need it battled down first.

For a thin option I have found suede cloth at the standard chain fabric store and its super thin.

walmart has super thin fleece throws for $2.88 that might do the trick. I don't use liners with my son's pf's, I just slather him from belly button to butt in coconut oil and that seems to do the trick.

we use grovia magic stick most times, but I use aloe vera & coconut oil at other times
