I'd say 27x27.

Yep 27 x 27. It's a touch big on a newborn, but it's still functional for them, and when they're closer to 25 they're a tad small after 4 months (for us).

I don't tend to try to fasten those, they were pad folded into gDiaper covers (size medium or large) or into a Flip this way.

But is that 27x27 before or after washing?

Because there are some (like osocozy flats) that are 27x27 inches before washing and they shrink up to be a lot smaller...

bigger than 27x27 AFTER washing.

small flats start at 27x27, then usually shrink to 24x25 (GMD smalls are one of the few exceptions). large flats start 32x32-ish, then shrink to hopefully no smaller than 27 etc.

btw, LOVE my diaper rite flats, 28x30 or so, great for pad folding and easily kitefold/jelly rolled to fit my DD at 10 lbs.
