Re: KAL ~ Christmas is Coming! Dec 9-15

Love calorimetry, i made myself one during finals speeches last spring. It was my 3rd I think, and I have yarn in my basket for another whenever I feel caught up on other things. Best item ever for dreads!

Anjuli

I got to sort postpartum cloth, count, and start cutting some more. Diaper fabric came today too. Does 25 seem like a reasonable amount of pads for not using any sposies? Ideally an every other day wash but I'm thinking it'll probably be daily?

That seems high to me unless you know yourself to be a bleeder. I think I used like 50-75 during each of my pp periods and that was the whole time.

Yes, I'm definitely a bleeder. I have 11 ice pack pads too for the first couple days, but these are just the "normal" style postpartum pads. I don't want to have to worry about laundry too much at first, just however we cycle through NB diapers.

At the er the advice nurse said that since he was vomiting bile and not keeping fluids down that we needed to head in. They're going to try an anti nausea med and some pedialyte. If it doesn't stay down then they do an iv and run labs.

One zofran shot later and little dude has kept his pedialyte down!

In our short time here he's thrown up on dh and then had a massive poo explosion on dh's lap. I keep telling dh that he asks for dada when he wants to do something gross on somebody.

Re: KAL ~ Christmas is Coming! Dec 9-15

As I posted on FB, I went to see Tina today. There are a lot of less than accurate stories being put out and her husband has asked me to step forward to try to run as much interference as I can to keep people from calling the hospital. It is interfering with the ability of the staff to take care of her. According to her nurse, she is NOT in a coma but rather her brain is in a depressed state because of the swelling and sepsis along with the overdose that is causing acute kidney and liver failure. Please respect the families and hospital staffs wishes to be left to worry about Tina. It is too much for them to keep everyone who has a minor interest informed AND care for her and right now Tina needs a lot of care. Plus, they really cannot give information out over the phone to non family anyway so I just hope everyone takes to heart that they will hear updates when there is something to update and pestering the hospital staff is not helpful.
