I just finally sat and looked through the photos and read the press releases. I couldn't even get through the first paragraph w/o the tears just flowing. As a parent w/ a child in kindergarten and elementary school age children, Although I never have and don't want to...in the midst of this story, I can visualize how that could happen at our school, where the children would be in my sons class, the bathroom they could all hide in. I too can imagine the devastation those parents feel, I know how I feel and it was states away, I feel for those families, all of them at the school. I can even know that feeling those parents must have had when they saw their child was fine. It is just plain awful and does hit very close to home.

well, he called asking if he could call his brother to get his truck so we can get the tree tomorrow

and then he brings up "I sent you that email because I don't want to have to explain to work about things like that. but I see that it was probably just an innocent website, so I'm sorry"

and then we talked about the shooting and I broke down and he even said it was "too close to home".
