We get to get a play kitchen! I'm so excited!

My dad and step mom sent each of the kids a $50 gift card to Walmart for Christmas. DH and I decided to do a big combined gift and get them a play kitchen! We're getting a set that comes with a bunch of play food and a shopping cart.

Unfortunately it won't come in until a few days after Christmas.. but that's ok. I'll print out the picture from the website and put it in a Christmas cards and let them open the card, then explain that the gift will come in a few days.

My oldest is always pretending to cook, and my 5 yr old is the waiter always saying "Here's your order ma'am." and bringing me whatever his brother "cooked."

When I told my dad what I wanted to get them, he said.. "Um, for boys?" LOL. I said 'Yep," and told him about how the boys play. HE said "Oh, ok, if it makes them happy." My step mom loves the idea. So excited!!

We have that same exact kitchen and my kids love it. How exciting for your kids, they will really enjoy it.

Thanks so much. I was "randomly" asked my kids if they would play with a play kitchen if we got one. My 7 yr old got really excited and practically started begging for one and said "It would be really cool if we got a kitchen for Christmas." LOL

So, the Christmas gift list looks like this:

From Mommy and Daddy:
DD (3 months old): Amber Teething Necklace
DS3 (will be 3 in February): Mega Blocks (like big Legos)
DS2 (5 years old): Digital camera
DS1 (7 years old): Tablet computer.

From Nana and Papa, purchased with their gift cards:
DD: Piano play mat

For everyone: Play kitchen with food and shopping cart.

With the left over money, we'll buy art supplies.

So excited!

I bet I will too! LOL

So it won't be here until the 26th or 27th. I suggested we print out the picture from the website, put it in a card and then give the card to the kids so they can see what they are getting but explain it'll be here a few days later.

DH says, that since they all have a gift to open, we should just tell them that there is one more big present coming, but it will be here in a few days, and keep the item a surprise.

I told DH I like his idea.

And I also said that I love that we got them a couple of really great gifts that cost a little more money, than use the same amount of money to buy a bunch of less expensive stuff that they will loose interest in after a week or that would be cheap and would break.

And of course, it reduces clutter. I'm super excited!
