Ok, time to make the dinner. Heiner is still out with Shannon.

I might make apple crisp too. I feel the need for something sweet and yummy today.

Bolonese is done, pasta is nearly done and apple crisp is in the oven. IDK if it'll be done in time for dessert but it should be done in time for a secret treat before bed for the girls.

I took my heart in my hands and washed my socks in the washing machine on the wool program cold wash.....it seems to have gone ok. Only one pair looks like it's shrunk but that was to be expected. The rainbow pair made from KP chroma yarn.

We've run out of drying space....so some socks are on top of Daisy's cage.

well it's wire, so they can dry and I'll take them off before she wakes up.

Fun fact...the cost of shipping the woolies I sent to Kari came out as the same amount I spent on Tropical fish yarn and needles to make a pair of knee high socks for me

Hey hey ladies. I am having a bad mom day. We got up and went to McDonalds to get breakfast because I wanted pancakes and we were out of syrup. Bad mom on so many levels-shouldn't have spent the money or wasted the gas, got crappy junk food for my kids, and took them out in the cold rain for dumb reasons.

Then the girls have been watching tv all day an they will continue to do so because I have a lot of sewing to do and lots of nursing to do when I am not sewing

Oh well. Tomorrow will be better they get to spent the morning with grandma and it's supposed to snow, first accumulating snow of the season, so they can go out and play in it

No school today - snow - so we put up our tree. Pics on Facebook. Our concert was to be tonight so we will reschedule in January.

Getting people organized and stuff in place to practice our duck and cover drill for the afternoon. All while teaching classes.

We are reading Jan Brett's The Mitten and making a mitten and the animals to go inside.

Is I can get good enough at knitting I would love to knit a BIG mitten and find each of the animals that climb inside to have it for when I read it next year

If you have really chunky yarn and big needles you can make a huge mitten with a regular pattern.

But if you cant...I'm happy to help you with it.
