How strict/lax are you with cigarette smoke around your kids?

I would love to be strict about it but we live in an upstairs apartment where both downstairs neighbors and their kids smoke and so if we want to bake in our little apartment we can close all the windows to not let the smoke in but over the summer most of the time leaving the windows closed is not an option so we have to "deal" with it.
