black screen on app?

2 weeks ago I got an iphone4 and dl'd the ds app. no problems. yesterday it said "error connection timed out" (I get this a lot with ds, phone or laptop) and then the app went black. Still is like that. Should I delete app and re-dl it? Thanks!

I would try to close the app completely (double click your home button and swipe till you find it. Then hold the app icon till it shakes and gets that little minus sign then tap the minus sign). I've gotten hung up before and that worked.

you're a genius!! my son had told me to do that many times a day to keep the phone running smoothly and I hadn't done it in a day or 2....the kids have had itouches forevs and this is my 1st time with something fancy, lol. Thanks a bunch!

Not a problem!! I had taken my phone to the apple store and had 25 pages of open apps. Lol. I never closed them...I actually thought after the first four you see they closed. Umm yes I was very wrong!!! Lol

Glad I'm not the only one that didn't know it!!! Lol

I would never have known. My son was dl-ing games to my phone ( who knows why, he has an I touch) and he said, "you know you have to do this" and showed me how. Dh has a droid and neither of us have iPods so we were clueless.
