Pregnancy After Loss (December)

I've been wondering about Andrea, too, but didn't want to feel naggy.

Just back from the pediatrician. Now DS has Fifths disease. Not sure what that means for the little lady inside, if anything. I'm already being monitored weekly. Guess I can call MFM and give them a heads up? I should've asked for a quarantine sign for Christmas.

I don't think it'll mean anything more than they're all ready doing - he would have gotten it from your DD, and you likely contracted it from her as well. They've all ready tested you and are keeping a closer eye on you and baby - nothing more they could do anyways.
Where you've all ready been exposed, you wouldn't be "exposed" again, kwim? You can't contract it twice.
That being said, I would still mention it to them. But I wouldn't make a special call about it, just mention it to them at your next appt - they're seeing you weekly, right?

My midwife's overdue client and my doula's overdue client both had their babies within the last 24 hours, so I'm next. My poor doula only got three hours of sleep last night though and is trying to get her girls (3-1/2 and 2) to nap today so she can take a nap as well. So I'm hoping I'll wait and let her get at least a little sleep tonight before I have to call her.

I'm losing minuscule bits of my mucous plug. Like, ITTY BITTY tiny pieces that I wouldn't know were there if I weren't looking for them. Today is my due date.

Oh goodness! Poor mama! Hopefully Baby will hold off at least through today, give her a bit of a chance for a rest!

That's a great sign! I didn't lose my plug with the first 3, but with Levi I was losing it through Saturday and Sunday, then contractions started about 10:30 Sunday night (though I was able to go to bed and sleep through things until after 1:30am).

Well, I think I lost maybe a total of 1/4 teaspoon over the course of the day, and I've stopped losing. No contractions. Going to go out for the evening in a little bit with the family and probably won't check in again until tomorrow. Or Saturday. Or next year. lol

Elena - I kwym re: not much more they can do. Just to make myself feel better, I called and talked to the RN. She said she'd leave a note for the on call doc, but no call would be a good thing and I should still mention it at my appt next week. I'm not any more/less worried than I was with the initial exposure. In fact, I'm probably less worried (with the initial exposure) than I feel I should be. If that makes sense?

Andrea - Enjoy your family time! I hope you're snuggling a new squishy the next time you check in!

Ugh! I'm so sorry that your son has it now too! I'll be saying some extra prayers for your baby girl here these next few weeks.

Mine with Levi wasn't a constant loss, but came and went - definitely picked up with activity. I had no contractions until labor started.

It does make sense to me - really, there's nothing more you can do. It's out of your hands. You didn't do anything out of the ordinary, or even anything contraindicated, to get exposed - you were just being the mom! You did what you could by letting your care providers know as soon as you knew, getting tested to see what you're dealing with, and following the specialist's recommended course of action/observation - absolutely nothing more you could do.
I'm still that baby girl shows no signs of anything amiss and just comes safe and healthy in another month (holy goodness! a month!).
