Wicking Athletic Jersey for a Pocket Trainer?

Can I use wicking athletic jersey for a pocket trainer? I don't have any cuddle dry fleece, which is what is recommended for the nighttime Tinkle Time Pocket Trainer pattern I have, and I don't want to buy anything else.

I've had the pattern for almost 6 months and am just now going to have a chance to use it over the holiday, so I want to make due with what I have.

I asked on here once before about using a thicker stretching fleece for both the leg/waist bands and pocket, but got no replies, so I'm trying one last time with this question before I just give it a try. I just have so little time to sew, I don't want to waste it on something that won't work.

It should work. I haven't done it personally, but I've seen diapers made with it.

Do you want to use the wicking jersey for the legs/waist?

No, I want to use it for a stay-dry interior pocket. If I had thinner, stretchy fleece, I would use that, but all I have is thicker more water resistant fleece, which I will use for the waist and legbands.

I made my daughter a trimsies pocket trainer with the awf as the interior and I love it. it's how I would do them if I had to make more.... but of course about a week after I made it she started starting dry all night

That's very good to know. did you use one layer or two and are there any tricks to know that differ from using a fleece pocket or is it pretty straightforward?

Just treat your AWF as if it were MF. They are interchangeable for the inners. AWF is a better choice, IMO, because it wicks away faster and makes more trim diaper/ trainer.
