I am clueless when it comes to yarn. How much yarn is needed for nb longies? I'd like to get something made as a picture/bringing home outfit for my son who is due in March.

Hi! Yarn is typically sold in 4oz. skeins, which is plenty for NB longies. If you need help finding a yarn that would work for longies feel free to PM me and I'm glad to help you out or anwer any other questions you have

wow you are quick! LOL Ok, I saw some on HC, so let me see what the heck it was. Any specific type that you think is best for nb? I have a lot of nb AIO diapers so they would probably be used over something that is waterproof, but just in case I use it over one of our fitteds as well, what do i need to look for??

There are lots of types of wool, but look for something that is NOT superwash. Also do not get anything label sock weight or DK weight, they are too thin. Typical types you would see on HC are MMW, Cestari, BFL, Gaia, Purewool. Any of those would be good, and there are probably a few others that would be nice also. Feel free to send me a link and I can let you know if it is a good option!
