1 year old with new teeth causing latch problems
My DS is almost 1 and he just got his two front teeth. Nursing is becoming painful and when he is done I can see teeth marks on my nipples. I keep relatching him, but it's not helping. Has anyone else dealt with this? I wonder if his slight tongue tie has something do with it? I never had an issue with my two girls and they nursed until age 2.

Re: 1 year old with new teeth causing latch problems
I have a almost 9 month old with lip tie and 4 teeth, 2 up top and 2 on bottom. I can feel the teeth resting on my nipple and it was causing some minor irritation till he adjusted his latch to get used to the new additions. I never had marks, well at least not yet. Could be his latch is shallow. Try to get him to take the nipple in deeper if you can. That will push his mouth in a better position where the teeth will not be in the nipple but resting on the areola.
