Re: Milk donation
I don't donate but I am a recipient. My LO had a bad latch due to some really horrid lactation nurses. I finally got his latch corrected but with my PCOS and diabetes using produce nearly enough. Tried supplementing several different formulas but he just got super horrible tummy issues, it was heartbreaking. I found a couple donors and he was like a new baby. Now we are running out of milk again and I'm hoping to find more at least until he reaches the stage where he tolerates formula. You're doing such a good deed by donating! I called my donors milk angels! LOL

Re: Milk donation
I never have but always thought it would be great to do. Are there rules or guidelines if you do it someone besides friends/family that you would find through those places?

I've donated milk my past 3 babies. So far with DD4 I've donated over 2500 oz and she is 6 mos old. I have one regular who has a DS the same age as my DD so it's fun talking to her at pickups.
I love being able to help other mamas and their babies (even with my milk hoarding tendencies lol).

I donate to a milk bank and a baby from hmfhb site.
I have a question though. I never used bagged milk for my baby. I am honestly kind of tired of spending the money to buy all of those bags to donate the milk. Do your recipients offer to buy bags for yoy or anything? If I would be using them anyway I wouldnt care, but it does add up!
