Re: Baby Craft thread

Homestead Emporium makes the best mama cloth but I can't ever score any so I made some postpartum pads The two tie-dyed ones are hers from when she was still Homemade Mama, they are at least 6 years old. lol

I made all the rest. Not near as nice but serve the purpose.

How fun!
I made a lot of casseroles like tator tot casserole, hashbrown casserole, lasagna and then I googled "freezer to crock pot meals" and made about 15 of those....they are SUPER easy you just put all the ingredients in a zip lock, write the temp setting and time and throw in the freezer.....so nice to have. It is really fun if you do it with a friend. The hardest part is making sure you get all the ingredients as it is like making weeks worth of meals at once

Re: Baby Craft thread

I got the rainbow hat done (I'll post pics in a few days, probably when I do next week's belly pic). Now I'm going to make boots to match.
Got a daisy hat and 2 headbands done, too, and just need buttons to finish the matching shoes.

Re: Baby Craft thread

I couldn't find any crib mobiles to match our bedding, so I'm going to modify one.

I bought this mobile as a base:

I hope that the fabric ruffle matches the bedding, otherwise that has to be replaced, too.

The animals are going to be replaced with felted rabbits. Here is the first one.

So cute! I always thought the mobile animals could be taken off later to be played with. Those rabbits would be fun.

Re: Baby Craft thread

I LOVE everyone"s ideas and crafts! I was given my first sewing machine for Christmas and I'm super excited to get started making things for M and B.

I'm still learning but I have plans to embellish prefolds, convert onesies to lap tees, and the BIG project: I'm going to make a crib quilt and matching twin duvet cover for the girls room I'm thinking I'll use these patterns: Crib Quilt & Duvet Cover

Thanks! I haven't decided on fabric yet. I'm trying to find something that will match DD current rug and curtains; purple, aqua blue, green, pink. So far I like this: http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/prod...upplies/fabric

Re: Baby Craft thread

My mother gave me a sewing machine for Christmas, so I made these to get comfortable with it. I made 4 (very forgiving) frayed flannel burp cloths.

Next on my list, bibs.
