Re: Not trying to be selfish...
Do it early, especially if people are asking. You may or not be able to shop in a month or two, so accept all the help that you can get now!

Re: Not trying to be selfish...
One more question...anyone have any advice on what type of bottle they liked to try not to confuse baby between bottle and nipple? I plan to breast feed, if possible, but I know that I can't be around 24/7. This is our first child and I have no experience with this type of thing. Thank you so much for any advice!!!

I didn't bother getting any bottles at all when pregnant with DD and getting ready, and I've honestly never used bottles with any of our kids. We did try an Avent one with one of the boys (got the bottle as a "sample" in the mail) but he didn't like it. I am a SAHM, and I don't have any big reasons for being away from the kids - especially for the first year (or close to, while the babies are exclusively breast-feeding), I just keep baby with me all the time.

Re: Not trying to be selfish...
I plan to work part time. We can't financially afford for me to not work.

We have Dr Brown's. worked great on DS and now DD. They were seldom used but came in handy when I had to be away (travel for work). I work out of the office quite a bit but do have to be in the office from time to time. So, having a few bottles around was useful.
